In­stalling Hella Safety Day­lights is now as easy as 1-2-3 with the new high tech smart con­trollers. This clever de­vice elim­i­nates the need to wire the lamps or changeover re­lay to ignition feed (ter­mi­nal 15), sav­ing an of­ten dif­fi­cult and time-con­sum­ing task.

The Safety Day­Lights smart con­troller, with dis­tinc­tive light blue hous­ing, mon­i­tors mul­ti­ple cri­te­ria in­clud­ing the power sup­ply from the al­ter­na­tor and bat­tery volt­age. It au­to­mat­i­cally switches the Safety Day­Lights on when the en­gine is started and off once the en­gine is turned off or the main head­lamps are ac­ti­vated.

The ad­vanced ver­sion of the smart con­troller with dark blue hous­ing mon­ti­tors ad­di­tional tell tale signs that the en­gine is on. Th­ese ad­di­tional tell- tales might be re­quired for mod­ern ve­hi­cles which fea­ture ad­vanced fuel sav­ing bat­tery charg­ing al­go­risms.

The Smart Con­troller is de­signed for 12 or 24V sys­tems and suit­able for the en­tire range of Hella Safety Day­Lights.
