An annual event run by AshdownIngram and conducted by Grant Hand, OEX Automotive Air Conditioning Training seminars have been running for many years in NZ, and are recognised as the premier training event by the Industry.

Anyone in the Australasian Auto Air Industry will know of Grant Hand, with most having attended his training seminars either in New Zealand or in Australia.

In fact, many in the industry credit Grant’s training and ongoing technical support in part to the success of their businesses.

“We are very proud of our association with Grant,” says Paul Findlater from Ashdown-Ingram.

“Every year we strive to improve the training, by working with Grant to ensure all of the new technology and products are covered,” he said. “It is important we also make sure we use venues that have all of the facilities required to make the training as effective as possible.”

Ashdown-Ingram has several purpose built, fully functional training simulators which are used within the training sessions. These not only give practical demonstrations of how various systems work but can be set to simulate system faults for diagnostic training.

The training is endorsed by MTA, VASA and Capricorn Society, with Denso and Sanden providing significant ongoing support for each of the training seminars.

The training itself consists of three separate courses. The first is Fundamentals, a must for anyone entering the industry as it outlines the basics and creates a solid base for the second course, Analysis.

Covering various system designs, Analysis explains the operation of system components and diagnostic procedures, utilising the training simulators to create a truly handson experience. As technology and products evolve each year, so does the course, to ensure you’re aware of current and upcoming changes.

The final course, Earthmoving & Agricultural Systems, is for those who have attended the first two courses and wish to specialise in heavy plant and/or system design.

With seminars in both the North and South Island, OEX Automotive Air Conditioning Training seminars are being held in Auckland at Waipuna Hotel and Conference Centre from September and in Christchurch at The Chateau on the Park from September 16 to 18.

Course information and registration forms are available online at AshdownIngram.co.nz or from your local Ashdown-Ingram Branch on 0800 445 889.
