Scha­ef­fler launches new on­line por­tal

With its on­line por­tal, Scha­ef­fler is launch­ing a new di­men­sion of ser­vice for garages pro­fes­sion­als in New Zealand.

Whether it is prod­uct up­dates or in­stal­la­tion guides, with just a few clicks garage pro­fes­sion­als can find ev­ery­thing they need for their daily work or if they need help to per­form a spe­cial job. In ad­di­tion, the up­dated por­tal dis­plays the en­tire four brand prod­uct port­fo­lio – from LuK, INA, FAG and Ruville.

Fol­low­ing the launch in Ger­many in 2015, the ser­vice por­tal is be­ing pro­gres­sively launched to other Euro­pean coun­tries, UK and the US dur­ing 2016.

Un­der the head­ing Work, Learn, In­form, Repx­pert is clearly struc­tured ac­cord­ing to th­ese three main el­e­ments and has a fresh new de­sign. Its in­tu­itive nav­i­ga­tion menu cou­pled with in­tel­li­gent search pro­cesses and links, di­rects users to the in­for­ma­tion they re­quire in a fast and tar­geted way.

A cen­tral fea­ture of Repx­pert is the on­line cat­a­logue linked with Scha­ef­fler’s en­tire au­to­mo­tive af­ter­mar­ket prod­uct port­fo­lio, with all prod­ucts of the LuK, INA, FAG and Ruville brands.

Be­sides a prod­uct search func­tion us­ing OE ref­er­ence num­bers, ve­hi­cle or part num­bers the por­tal also pro­vides de­scrip­tions of the prod­ucts, out­lines prod­uct ben­e­fits, prod­uct up­dates, prod­uct-based ve­hi­cle-spe­cific and non-ver­bal in­stal­la­tion guides plus im­por­tant in­for­ma­tion about fail­ure di­ag­no­sis. Di­rectly linked to ev­ery prod­uct, and there­fore found quickly, are all rel­e­vant in­for­ma­tion me­dia items such as brochures and videos.

In­te­grated into the Repx­pert on­line por­tal is the Scha­ef­fler Au­to­mo­tive Af­ter­mar­ket train­ing pro­gramme for garages, dis­tri­bu­tion part­ners, tech­ni­cal sup­port or­gan­i­sa­tions, TAFE col­leges and vo­ca­tional train­ing cen­tres. Here in­ter­ested par­ties will find valu­able in­for­ma­tion such as how-to videos, train­ing con­tent and or­gan­i­sa­tional de­tails.

Within the por­tal there are a sur­pris­ingly large num­ber of other fea­tures. Th­ese in­clude the dual mass fly­wheel (DMF) App which dis­plays in just a few sec­onds, the torque and rated-val­ues ta­bles for free-play an­gle and rock for ev­ery LuK dual mass fly­wheel, in fact sim­ply ev­ery­thing a garage pro­fes­sional needs at a glance.

“With the up­dated Repx­pert we are con­tin­u­ing the suc­cess story of the on­line por­tal we es­tab­lished over ten years ago, giv­ing it a new di­men­sion of ser­vice, mak­ing it more user-friendly and di­a­logue-ori­ented,” says Dr Robert Fel­ger, se­nior vice pres­i­dent prod­uct and mar­ket­ing, Scha­ef­fler Au­to­mo­tive Af­ter­mar­ket.

Users al­ready reg­is­tered for the ear­lier RepX­pert sim­ply need to re­quest a new pass­word be­fore ac­cess­ing the up­dated Repx­pert ver­sion.
