High Tea Heaven

My Wedding - - DIY | CENTREPIECE -

Bride’s full name: Esther Nicole Roberts Groom’s full name: Adam Slee Date of Wedding: 22/09/12 Budget: 30,000 - $40,000

Theme: English Garden High Tea The proposal: On 2nd March this year Adam flew me to Pauanui, the first time I had been in a plane piloted by him - a great experience! He had arranged through a friend of ours there a picnic on the deck of a gorgeous home over looking the beach. After we ate he said he wanted to take pictures of me looking out at the water - so to turn around. I completely fell for it and when I turned back around I found him down on one knee with the ring. We had looked at rings together but he wanted the final design to be a surprise and what a beautiful surprise it was - a gorgeous 7 diamond ring that he had had designed and made. Planning: Self-planned, with help from my mum and input from George at Orakei Bay, and Lisa from Beautiful Events. Ceremony: St Aidans Church, Remuera. I attended Corran School where every Wednesday morning the school would walk up the road to attend chapel service there. Being a choir member I walked down that aisle with the choir every week throughout high school - now this time as a bride! Reception: Orakei Bay. Right from the start we wanted a wedding with a bit of difference, something that reflected our personalities and wouldn't stretch late into the night. I had been to High Tea's before and loved the atmosphere - light hearted but still with a sense of occasion. Because we were having a day wedding we wanted a bit of a garden feel with windows/outdoor views. We settled on Orakei Bay, especially because it could cater for a larger group.
