It’s September and Spring is in the air. I love Spring for many reasons – the soft light, the longer days, the fresh green shoots and colourful buds, the joy of being able to open all the windows and breathe in crisp, beautiful fresh air.
With Spring-cleaning underway in homes and offices around the country, I decided it was time to do a little of our own. This wasn’t going to be a quick mop and vacuum, though - whist throwing those windows open, we threw out the rulebook at the same time.
I felt it was about time weddings and all the ancillary services and products were portrayed as beautifully in a magazine as they end up looking on the Big Day itself. Wedding planners and brides spend hours perfecting their day, photographers and videographers take care in framing their subjects, florists and stylists work like demons to ensure the perfect setting – who are we to clutter their work into overcrowded pages that resemble a gossip tabloid? With that in mind, we’ve redesigned our logo, come up with a cover that is easily identifiable and will look good on any coffee table, changed our cover and page stock, and revamped every single page!
Pretty things abound at weddings and there’s no reason why you can’t transpose all that loveliness into your everyday life. Planning a special dinner party – use the caterer who fed your wedding guests; organising hubby’s company Christmas party – get your stylist to dream up some inventive place settings, or your florist to create magnificent centrepieces. Your cake designer can whip up fabulous kids’ birthday cakes and your limousine company would love to chauffer you on your next night out to the theatre.
My Wedding is not only about weddings – it’s about standing up and enjoying the finer things in life. Hence our new tagline … because love is for life.
I hope you enjoy the fresh new look, and that the extra content provides you with hours of enjoyable reading.
