MANAWATU WEDDING EXPO

WEDDING FEVER IS SET TO TAKE OVER THE PALMERSTON NORTH CONVENTION CENTRE ON SUNDAY, 7TH JUNE.

My Wedding - - PLANNING -

For those dreaming of a traditional fairytale wedding, seeking more of a cutting edge and contemporary affair, or even planning a destination wedding, the Manawatu Wedding Expo is a must-attend event for every bride and groom.

With expo-only specials, a spectacular catwalk show and an unrivalled exhibitor line-up, brides-to-be will be spoilt for choice when it comes to making those important decisions. Over one hundred companies from around New Zealand will gather together under one roof to showcase every aspect of a wedding … from cakes and catering to gowns and suit hire, photographers, venues, music, invitations, florists and much more. You will need several hours to see it all! The Expo offers ultimate inspiration for engaged couples nationwide planning their perfect day.

This is a one-stop shop for all your wedding-planning needs, eliminating the need to spend weeks, or even months, running around town, comparing websites and making phone calls. Here you can speak direct to the people you need to, look at photographers’ albums, ask questions, feel fabrics, compare paper thickness, sample cakes and try on accessories.

Renee Murray from Peacock Promotions, organisers of the Expo, says: “Sometimes the most important thing to a bride is the ability to get on well with someone like their photographer or celebrant. As the Expo gives you a chance to meet someone without necessarily booking their company, you can find out who has the personality suited to your needs … then you can book with confidence.

“An added bonus of attending the Expo,” she went on to say, “is that many of the exhibitors offer special expo-only packages and discounts to visitors who speak to them on the day. So not only can you enjoy the experience, but you may find yourself saving hundreds of dollars as well.”

Tickets are purchased on arrival at the door and include entry into the Fashion Parades, which run at 11am, 1pm & 3pm. Head to their Facebook page (www.facebook.com/ManawatuWeddingExpo) to keep up with the news, exhibitor specials and some great wedding ideas.
