A study by Dr Teresa Lesiuk, an assistant professor in the music therapy programme at the University of Miami, showed creativity is fostered by songs that reflect the feelings you’re trying to convey with your work. So think about what you’re creating and tune into some music that complements your message.

“I’ve no idea where ideas come from and I hope I never find out; it would spoil the excitement for me if it turned out I just have a funny little wrinkle on the surface of my brain which makes me think about invisible train platforms” – J.K. Rowling
