Nadia’s son takes us on a journey through his first holiday

Hi, big people, it’s Bodhi here!

I went on my first holiday with my mum and dad recently. It was very exciting, especially when I suddenly saw the big, noisy planes just like the ones in my book. I was so excited at the airport that as soon as we got on the plane I fell asleep. Then suddenly we were somewhere really different to home. It was really hot – all I had to wear was my nappy (yay!).

The people there were so friendly and I made some new friends. But although I liked the holiday for the first couple of days, I started missing home and acting up a bit for Mum and Dad, hoping they’d get the message. When we finally got back to my home turf, Mum said, “Well, that was fun, but it wasn’t really a holiday – it was more a change of scenery.” Below are some tips and ideas from Mum’s Facebook friends for when they travel with their little people. Maybe she should take note for next time!
