At the height of the ‘‘Trou­bles’’ in North­ern Ire­land, Prime Min­is­ter Mar­garet Thatcher banned all re­port­ing of ter­ror­ist ac­tiv­i­ties there, say­ing that she wanted to ‘‘de­prive them of the oxy­gen of pub­lic­ity’’.

This ac­tion played a sig­nif­i­cant part in bring­ing the ‘‘Trou­bles’’ to an end.

It might not be a bad idea if a sim­i­lar ap­proach was made con­cern­ing a cer­tain per­son (whom I do not wish to name and give pub­lic­ity to) who oc­cu­pies a spot in Trafal­gar St.
