Fond farewell

Nelson Mail - - COMMENT&OPINION -

I have resigned as a trustee of Fifeshire Foundation and wish to thank the many individuals, groups and communities that I have had the pleasure to work with over the years, both fundraising or via a helping hand to those in need.

We are so fortunate to have this Trust in our Nelson Tasman region; whom grant 100 per cent of the funds raised, to help those who are disadvantaged or in need.

A Nelson Mail cutting in 1983, notes the main issues requiring help being inadequate housing, hunger, neglected health care and homelessness. I amsure that the Trust will continue to help those requiring support in our communities in the future.

After 24 years, I know Fifeshire Foundation has, and will continue to give a ‘‘helping hand’’ to many more families.
