Operation Katipo

Nelson Mail - - COMMENT&OPINION -

The recent military exercises, ’Katipo,’ involving 16 countries, taking place top of the South Island, took out a full page advertisement in the mail (4/11/17) stating they’re not just about fun and wargames but also about safety, security, stability. The reality, given their videos, shows boys running around shooting their weapons. Its about military following orders, practicing to kill, ready for invading and occupying other peoples’ countries, enabling the international warmongering to continue.

Lets stop kidding ourselves. The picking up of any weapon is an act of violence and instead of following orders, if all military personnel said NO! there would be no war! They might want to keep in mind what one of their employers, further up the chain of command stated ‘‘Military men are just dumb, stupid animals to be used as pawns in foreign policy.’’
