Omaka Springs Estates

New Zealand Classic Car - - Summer Wine Guide -

Located in the beautiful Southern Valleys of Marlborough, Omaka Springs Estates produces terroirexpressive fine wines and olive oil. The sole producer of estate wines and olive oil in the Omaka Valley, all grapes and olives are grown on Omaka Springs Estates’ 180acre estate, located right in the heart of the valley. All the wine is then created by hand to the highest standards by winemaker, Ian Marchant.

Omaka means ‘where the springs flow’ when translated from Maori, and derives its name from the land itself. The valley contains mineral-rich natural springs that meander through Omaka Springs’ vineyards, feeding the soil and imparting a distinct, signature nuance of minerality. Omaka Springs Estate is the perfect location for a summer’s day picnic this holiday season — they are open from 10am to 4pm, Monday through Friday (closed weekends).
