Millions of tons of grapes, a restaurant, and an elegant wedding venue are all part of what makes the 25-year-old Blenheim-based business, Allan Scott Family Winemakers. Visiting the vineyard is an impressive experience. The gardens and buildings alone leave a striking impression, and whether you’re a social sipper or a serious wine connoisseur, you’ll be very pleased with what you get to experience during your visit.

With heavy demand for its wines in more than 20 countries around the world, there’s no doubt that the Allan Scott family is contributing to New Zealand’s reputation for beautiful wines.

The Twelve Trees Vineyard Restaurant adjoins the cellar door, and offers tastings of selected varietals and vintages. Named after the original walnut trees that lined the entrance to the winery, the restaurant is open seven days a week from 9am to 4.30pm for brunch and lunch, with a menu designed to emphasize Marlborough, and complement the Allan Scott range of wines.

Visitors are invited to explore the immaculate gardens with fountains and giant chess, taste Allan Scott’s famous wines in the cellar-door shop, and browse through its unique gifts. Winery tours and evening functions can be organized by arrangement.
