Daimler Dart

New Zealand Classic Car - - Automobilia -

This Daimler SP250 is a recent release in the Oxford Diecast 1:43 scale range. Plated parts abound on this model, with other bright parts being tampo-printed in silver. The low-set grille has a backwash of black, as does the vent ahead of the windscreen. The headlights are clear glazed with plated bezels, and the tail-light cluster is picked out in suitable colours. A minute ‘Daimler’ script sits correctly above the grille.

The interior detail is also good, with items such as the steering-wheel spokes and dashboard panel highlighted in silver, as are the gear shift and handbrake. Other dials are tampo-printed in white. The studs on the folded tonneau cover in silver, and there is reasonable detail on the underside, with twin plated exhausts extending out under the rear bumper. The spoked wheels are effectively represented by photo-etched
