Targa New Zealand has announced that a standalone Classic Targa Tour is planned as part of the Targa Bambina event scheduled for March 5 and 6 in and around Franklin and the northern Waikato regions.

“The tour is an integral part of the Targa event, and the establishment of a standalone Classic Tour is a natural progression. We really need to receive a minimum of 10 entries in this class,” says Peter Martin, managing director of Targa New Zealand.

The new group will be led by Greg Paul in his classic Fiat 125T, while Targa New Zealand is pleased to confirm that it has received the first entry for the Targa Bambina Classic Tour, from Mark Mccaughan in his classic road-going ex–benson & Hedges Fiat 125T. Mark says he is excited to be able to bring his Fiat on the event and issues a challenge for other classic cars to join him on the Classic Targa Tour.
