Last month’s mystery was the Chrysler Royal, built in three series from 1957 to 1964 by the Australian arm of Chrysler. Our picture showed the AP3 final series, built from 1960 to 1963/4, the letters ‘AP’ standing for Australian Production. In its last couple of years, production was small scale, as Chrysler needed factory space to produce the successful six-cylinder Valiant S Series.
