In New Zealand Clas­sic Car (is­sue No. 274 Oc­to­ber 2013) there was an ar­ti­cle about New Zealand–made cars.

Of par­tic­u­lar in­ter­est to me was the part about Fer­ris de Joux. This de­scribes the Kevin Lamb “good­look­ing fi­bre­glass-bod­ied Stan­dard Van­guard– based two-door coupé” de­signed in 1961. “The styling was based on the body crafted by Fer­ris for his own Holden-based de Joux GT.”

Well into the early 1970s, I owned a Holden-based de Joux. Some (not very good) pho­tos are at­tached. Un­less Fer­ris made a third, Holden-based, car, then I must have owned the ex-fer­ris car.
