he annual Marlborough Hospice Vehicle Show gets better and better every year. The event seems to have the ability to encourage car lovers from all over the top of the South Island to bring their vehicles out of hiding, and, after a quick spit and polish, put them on display. Many of them usually haven’t been seen for several years.

The theme for this year was the mighty Ford Mustang. Over 20 of Henry’s finest examples, from very early to very new, lined up for the public to inspect. Now in its fifth year, the event has become so popular that a slight name change has been needed. It is now known as the ‘Hospice Vehicle Show’ and, for the first time this year, it included classic boats as well as the regular line-up of cars and bikes.

The weather couldn’t have been better, and over 350 vehicles of all types gave the locals a lot to admire and again raised a lot of money for a worthy charity.
