Pro­tecta In­surance brings you Caf­feine and Clas­sics — a monthly brunch open to all ve­hi­cles and held on the last Sun­day of each month at Smales Farm, just 5km north of the Auck­land Har­bour Bridge. From 9am to 12pm.

May 7: Auck­land Mus­tang Own­ers Club Auc­tion

To be held at the North­ern Sports Car Club rooms, Mount Rich­mond Do­main, 1110 Great South Road, Otahuhu, 3pm to 6pm. The Auck­land Mus­tang Own­ers Club is host­ing a mon­ster auc­tion to raise funds for its up­com­ing con­ven­tion. Items in­clude, but are not limited to, tool chests, socket/wrench sets, kitchen ap­pli­ances, art work, kid­dies’ toys, au­to­mo­tive items and vouch­ers, plus some unique of­fer­ings — some­thing for ev­ery­one! Come along sup­port the club and have a great af­ter­noon spend­ing money. Com­pli­men­tary snack food avail­able, and the bar will be open!

May 15: The Sound MG Char­ity Clas­sic Race Meet­ing

Man­feild Park Cir­cuit, Feild­ing. This 18th an­nual event is a low-key out­ing de­signed for older clas­sics and his­toric ve­hi­cles, and, once again, vin­tage carclub mem­bers are in­vited to en­ter. All gate pro­ceeds will be do­nated to char­ity, and the Can­cer So­ci­ety NZ alone has ben­e­fited from over $150K since the event com­menced some 18 years ago. May 30–June 1: Queen’s Birth­day at Queen’s Wharf

Queen’s Birth­day at Queens Wharf is a free an­nual event that brings the best bits of Great Bri­tain to down­town Auck­land in a three-day event at­tract­ing more than 80,000 peo­ple. As part of the cel­e­bra­tion, Bri­tish sports, mu­sic, ob­jects, food, cul­ture, and ma­chines are all dis­played through­out Shed 10, The Cloud, and Queens Wharf, and shared with the at­tend­ing pub­lic. Cars are the jewel in the crown of this event — with ve­hi­cles span­ning 100 years of Bri­tish mo­tor­ing his­tory be­ing dis­played by re­tail­ers and clubs. This year, new Mclaren, Bent­ley and As­ton Martin mod­els will share floor space with old MGS, Daim­lers, Mi­nis, a dou­ble-decker Lon­don bus, and brand-new Jaguars. July 15–17: Gore Vin­tage Car Club 50th An­niver­sary

The Gore Branch cor­dially in­vites all past and present mem­bers and sup­port­ers to join it for its 50th an­niver­sary cel­e­bra­tions. On Fri­day, there’ll be a nog­gin and nat­ter; on Satur­day, a rally and din­ner; and, on Sun­day morn­ing, tea and farewell. July 17: 36th Cen­tral North Is­land Swap Meet and Car Show
