Bond fans will re­call the Toy­ota 2000GT made fa­mous in You Only

Live Twice. Housed at Toy­ota Au­to­mo­bile Mu­seum, the 2000GT will lead over 150 clas­sic cars from the mu­seum’s col­lec­tion in its 28th Clas­sic Car Festival to be held on May 28 at the Aichi Expo Me­mo­rial Park in Ja­pan’s Na­gakute City, Aichi Pre­fec­ture.

Re­ferred to as the Ja­panese E-type, the 2000GT will be joined by its English coun­ter­part, along­side a Nis­san Sil­via, a Mazda Cosmo Sport 1, and a Ford Mus­tang, also from the mu­seum’s col­lec­tion. Par­tic­i­pat­ing cars will be driven around pub­lic roads in chrono­log­i­cal or­der, with next-gen­er­a­tion ve­hi­cles seen along­side their clas­sic-car equiv­a­lents in a show­case of au­to­mo­tive evo­lu­tion.

The 2000GT is high­light­ing the model’s 50th an­niver­sary cel­e­bra­tions, and will fea­ture in an ex­hibit, ti­tled “Dreams and De­sires: 1960s Sports Cars”, that fo­cuses on the birth of Ja­pane­se­made sports cars fol­low­ing the 1964 Tokyo Olympics.
