The Best Bars brand is synonymous with towing products but they also supply a range of load carrying accessories for the burgeoning Ute market including a range of alloy trays to suit most makes and models. The Advantage Alloy deck offers a more refined finish and additional strength without compromising its carrying capabilities, along with some unique features including; Drop sides and tailgate have additional extrusion weight and gus-seting built in for reinforcement Side hinges are full height and use a robust, stainless steel design, which combine with new dome head stainless steel fasteners that not only look great but eliminate the possibility of corrosion. Upgraded side sections to provide more rigidity as well as improve their function. Advantage Alloy decks are built tough and have a durable, anodised finish so they won’t corrode. But the main advantage is their ability to enable the vehicle to haul heavier payloads, as the tray itself is lighter. Traditional steel decks have been a preference because they are perceived to be strong. However, Best Bars says most people overlook the fact that the latest alloy decks are designed and built strong enough to withstand the tough everyday usage around construction and other work sites and can carry heavier loads due to lower weight. All of the decks are equipped with hinged drop sides and tailgate to make loading and unloading easier and have exterior lash-down rails to keep loads secure. A 63mm alloy headboard tube with cab protector mesh is standard, as are tail light guards, alloy mudguards, mud flaps and rack pegs. A full range of accessories is also available, including a rear removable ladder rack, side toolboxes, custom internal lashing points and ply floor overlay. Five size variations are available to suit most ute models from single cab models, to crew cabs and double cabs. Best Bars have also developed a new range of externally mounted ladder racks to complete the tradesman ute which can be used with their nudge bars and were covered in our April issue, they are design and tested to meet the requirements for air bag compatibility for Light Commercial Vehicles. Advantage ladder rack systems and Alloy decks are available from all leading new vehicle dealerships and fleet fit out specialist companies nationwide.
