AUCKLAND FESTIVAL OF PHOTOGRAPHY FAST-APPROACHING
With the announcement earlier this year that Janet Lilo is the Annual Commission recipient (see a full interview with Janet on page 22), the festival is already off to a very exciting start. The programme for the June 1–24 event looks just as thrilling as ever, with a huge array of exhibitions and experiences for the public to become immersed in.
The annual Nikon Auckland Photo Day on June 10 will see participants given just 24 hours to capture an image that reflects Auckland to them.
The event was initiated in 2004, and after a brief hiatus in 2015, it was relaunched in 2016 — and here it is, back for 2017.
The festival sees exhibitions that fall under the Auckland Festival of Photography umbrella showcased all over Auckland, and it’s nearly a full month of extreme photography immersion for those who get involved.
