Recognizing photographic achievement and bringing you the latest photography world news

If you’ve been intrigued about what goes on in a film studio, you should consider heading to SAE Creative Media Institute’s Open Day on June 10. SAE will open the doors to its Heather Street, Auckland campus from 11am–3pm, inviting the public to cast their eyes on the state-of-the-art film equipment its students get to make the most of.

The day is open to all ages, and anyone who is interested in a career in the audio or film industry can just show up any time during the day to join in on one of the campus tours.

You’ll be guided around all SAE’s studio facilities, including the new film studio, which is under construction and due for completion later this year. Tours will be led throughout the day by SAE lecturers and campus staff, who will give short presentations about all programmes available, and potential careers in the industry.

SAE campus manager Dr Suzette Major says the open day is a rare opportunity to gain an insight into life as an SAE student.

“We are a tight-knit community working together on a small campus, which gives students a truly unique learning environment. Taking part in our open day will give potential students an excellent grasp of what life would be like should you choose to come and study with us.”
