SALTWATER FLY WORKSHOP – FLIES AND MINI POPPERS

Rod and Reel stock a full range of premium flies, designed for the specialist angler, to the highest level from The Saltwater Fly Workshop. Some of which are designed specifically for NZ species such as snapper, and others such as the Crease Fly mini-poppers to entice smaller kingfish and other surface predators.

SHIMANO OCEA BUTTERFLY STINGER SHORT JIGS

Exclusive to Rod and Reel these slow pitch style jigs have their weight situated nearer the centre, creating a fluttering, sliding action. Available up to a grunty 350 grams they are very good for use in high current or windy conditions. A full range of high quality Japanese assist hook rigs are offered to suit individual needs.

SWAGE KILLER JIGS

The Killer is well suited to a fast jigging action and the large distinctive tail groove creates its unique action. A longer stroke with the rod produces the ideal movement. Lighter jigs can be used for casting and in shallower water with the same zigzagging effect.

SWAGE SHUTTLE JIGS

The computer designed Swage Shuttle jig faces are balanced to stabilize movement and give a great action when falling. The Shuttle is a great choice when the fishing is tough as it creates sound waves that may produce results when other jigs won’t.
