How small steps can dramatically Improve your life and potential By Tom O’Neil Harper Collins Publishers Auckland, 2013

To be a success in any area of your life, according to Tom O’Neil, is to get people on your side and have them agree with your point of view. Whether it’s a sales transaction, business deal or marriage proposal, getting a person to say “yes” is a communication skill.

There are many motivational quotes spread throughout the book, but the three I like best are: “Make at least one definite move daily towards your goal. You have to put in many, many, many tiny efforts that nobody sees or appreciates before you achieve anything worthwhile.

If what you are doing is not moving you towards your goals, then it’s moving you away from your goals.” There’s tips too to spice up your personal relationships, like “keep a little gift hidden away so you can surprise your partner when they have had a bad day.”
