New Zealand Fitness - - EXERCISES -

The longer our cardio sessions, the more cortisol we release and the more muscle tissue our body cannibalizes for energy. By keeping cardio short and intense – high intensity interval-style protocols have been proven to work best – and weights hard and heavy – relative to individual strength levels and recuperative abilities – the more fat we are likely to burn long-term. Because resistance training builds muscle and fat calories are used to sustain muscle tissue, developing more muscle is an expedient way to target stubborn body fat.
