One size does not fit all when it comes to weight loss and Elly McGuinness does not attempt to define the only way in her book Burning Fat. Nutrition is a huge part in burning fat and at the end of the day it is clearly more important than exercise.
Elly breaks this down to 40 per cent focus on nutrition, 20 per cent on exercise and 10 per cent each for stress, sleep, thoughts and relationships. But as someone who exercises every day and sometimes twice a day, without seeing results, I would change the mathematics to 80 per cent focus on nutrition – but then again one size does not fit all! If I were to take away one message from this book, it would be: If you want to burn fat, cut out the processed food.
