It was another disappointing
finish for Lydia Ko at the LPGA's Kia Classic in Carlsbad, California late in March, and it does not look like being of much fun for her these days as a closing-round one-over 73 sent Ko tumbling down the final leaderboard.
The 20-year-old world No 15 struggled to get much in the way of positive golf going in her final round at the Aviara Golf Club, with three straight bogeys at 8, 9 and 10 seeing her opening score of seven under plunge back to four under.
Ko did pick up shots at the par-3 11th and par-5 17th to get her score back to six under for the tournament, but finished well down the leaderboard in a tie for 33rd.
Ko's struggles were demonstrated vividly by her final-round stats that saw her hit just 10 of 14 fairways and take 35 putts. Both were uncharacteristically poor numbers for the former World No 1.
