LDV NZ named distributor of year
LDV NEW ZEALAND HAS BEEN NAMED the brand’s Distributor of the Year for the third time running.
Chinese vehicle manufacturer SAIC Motor which builds LDV vans presented the award to Rick Cooper, the chairman of LDV New Zealand’s parent company, Great Lake Motor Distributors (GLMD), at the 2017 LDV global distributor conference in Shanghai, China.
SAIC Motor’s Lan Qingsong said: “GLMD has worked very hard for this award, increasing their market share of the van segment to 15 percent..; 2016 saw GLMD increase their LDV sales over 117 percent over the previous year.”
Cooper said GLMD is “very proud of this award. All our staff and dealers have put in a huge effort over the last three years, and the product is really preforming well.”
He said 2017 will be another big year for the brand. “We are already 56 percent ahead for quarter one.”
He said LDV will get a further boost with the impending arrival of electric van models, the T60 ute range, and the D90 SUV.
