Lexus takes to the paddocks
THE PRESENCE FOR THE FIRST TIME OF TOYOTA’S LUXURY BRAND, LEXUS, underlined the importance of the annual Fieldays to New Zealand vehicle distributors.
Toyota attended this year’s show with a large stand that included a section for Lexus’ SUV and crossover range.
Toyota also showcased its radical C-HR small crossover SUV and a Gladiator Hilux ute which it says may spawn a production model.
In recent years, market-leading Toyota has relied on dealer stands at the annual agricultural showcase.
The Lexuses were among several luxury brands at the show, along with Range Rover and Maserati.
Mainstream brands were there in force, underlining the impression that Fieldays will become the national motor show as well as the country’s agricultural showcase.
