South­land log­ger An­drew Pratt (Pratty), owner of King One, a large ground base and hauler op­er­a­tion in the south, has re­cently taken de­liv­ery of a new Tiger­cat 632E skid­der, re­plac­ing a loyal and faith­ful Tiger­cat 610C that ran well over 10,000 hours trou­ble­free. The larger 632E has the new Tiger­cat FPT engine and new EHS high speed trans­mis­sion, new and im­proved turn­around seat and cabin, larger axles, load-sens­ing hy­draulics, high-speed heavy­duty winch and the larger grap­ple. The 632E joins a sta­ble of AB ma­chines that in­clude Su­mit­omo and Tiger­cat mod­els, in­clud­ing a 300TL, 240TL, 225, 300TL feller buncher with teth­er­ing bar, 880 har­vester with a Waratah 625 serv­ing the Bel­lis BE60 Hauler. Pratty is cur­rently set­ting up a teth­er­ing sys­tem to take on the steeper blocks ahead. Pic­tured with his new ma­chine is op­er­a­tor, Bran­don. AB Equipment’s Dean Cousins made the sale.
