Vanilla linen spray

I tend to always use lavender when I’m spraying my linen fresh off the line, but I recently found this recipe for vanilla which gives a much sweeter scent. It may be more suitable for children or to give a more masculine scent to your sheets.

8 whole vanilla pods 500ml vodka 1 Slice each vanilla pod lengthwise and then chop them into small pieces.

2 Put the chopped vanilla into a large glass jar, such as an Agee jar, and fill it with vodka. Screw on the lid and give it all a good shake.

3 Leave in a dark cupboard or pantry for two months, shaking when you remember to.

4 To make the linen spray, add 2 tbsp of the vanilla extract to 2 tbsp water and spray.
