Chasing the new doctor
Bradley Walsh has stood on the cobbles in Coronation Street, before the big board on The Chase and on the stage at the London Palladium. Now the British actor and TV host is to step into the Tardis as Doctor Who’s newest companion.
A source says, “Bradley is super-excited to be joining the cast of Doctor Who in such a key role.”
Bradley (57) is strongly believed to have been cast as the sidekick to the first-ever female Time Lord, Jodie Whittaker (35). The new job means his schedule will be jam-packed – as well as hosting the popular game show The
Chase, he also presents Tonight at the London Palladium.
A friend says Bradley, who played Danny Baldwin on
Coro, will cut back on some other work to ensure the
Doctor Who role won’t affect The Chase.
“He loves that show. He’s delighted to have found a way to make it work.”
