MAKE DAD’S DAY – POUR HIM TEA INTO HIS OWN BIG CUP

New Zealand Woman’s Weekly - - THIS WEEK IN... -

1 Thoroughly clean the outside of your mug with window cleaner and a paper towel. Allow to dry.

2 Starting with the letter “A” in the middle, arrange your letter stickers to spell “DAD”. 3 Place star stickers around the word.

4 Colour in the mug with a permanent marker, making sure that the letters and stars are outlined.

5 Allow the mug to dry for 24 hours before carefully removing the stickers (use a blunt knife or sharp nails to scrape them off!). If you accidentally scrape some of the marker off, fill it in with more of the same colour once all the stickers are removed.

6 Place the mug in a cold oven. Turn the oven on to 200°C. Once it has fully heated, bake the mug for 45 minutes. Turn the oven off and allow to cool completely in the oven. Even though you have baked the mug, gentle handwashing is still recommended.

This is a great project for kids this Father’s Day. Let them go wild with Dad’s favourite colours, then bake their creation so he can keep the artwork forever. Made to treasure! Alice Arndell CRAFT EDITOR
