New Zealand Woman’s Weekly

“My fave memory with the Weekly is how they captured our wedding day. We were married at a wee church in Martinborough, then celebrated at the nearby gorgeous lodge of Wharekauhau. The weather can be wild along that coastline and, true to form, the day before was wicked. Guests were flying in sideways but with Jim Hickey as our MC, we dialled up a favour from the Weather Gods and the skies cleared! I was honoured to be on the cover and we will always treasure those precious memories. Another fun memory I have is the story I did about my friendship with Toni Street. I’m 6ft and she is a bit shorter than me, so we decided a stepladder would do the trick when it came time to take the photos – ha! The result was me looking like the 50ft woman and her a lil’ pocket rocket. The stepladder featured but wasn’t our best idea. They did a few other friendship stories which came out looking really lovely, but we just looked like weirdos!”
