As an adult, it is time to get rid of any un­healthy habits you may have de­vel­oped as a teen. If you started smok­ing, now is the time to quit.

Work out how to fit ex­er­cise into your daily rou­tine. Once you’re work­ing full-time, that may seem tricky, but it is im­por­tant to try to do at least 30 min­utes of mod­er­ate ex­er­cise a day.

Get screened for

STDs. If left un­treated, they can of­ten lead to se­ri­ous prob­lems, such as in­fer­til­ity.

Start hav­ing cer­vi­cal smears, which can pick up ab­nor­mal cell changes be­fore they be­come can­cer­ous.

Check out your con­tra­cep­tion op­tions. While the Pill is easy and con­ve­nient, it doesn’t suit every­one, es­pe­cially women who are prone to high blood pres­sure. You may need to in­ves­ti­gate other choices, such as Depo Provera or Mirena.
