Be­low is a checker­board with al­ter­nat­ing white and shaded squares. You must make eight eight-let­ter words read­ing across each row by plac­ing one let­ter in each square. Do this by re­ar­rang­ing the let­ters of the word in the WHITE col­umn and plac­ing them in the four white squares of the row. Then re­ar­range the let­ters of the word in the SHADED col­umn and place them in the shaded squares of the same row. To­gether the let­ters must form a com­mon eight-let­ter word, e.g. SUET (in the white squares) and FLAT (in the shaded squares) make TASTE­FUL.
