PROUD MARY’S CHILDREN STEP UP FOR A DAY OF HORSEPLAY

New Zealand Woman’s Weekly - - READINGCORNER -

Crown Princess Mary (46) may have missed out on the Melbourne Cup in her native Australia, but she still got to see some horses in action. She and her husband, Crown Prince Frederik (50), rugged up to watch the Hubertus Hunt, Denmark’s annual cross-country horse race, held north of Copenhagen.

Three of the couple’s four children, Princess Isabella (11) and twins Prince Vincent and Princess Josephine (7), joined them on a horse-drawn carriage ride to greet well-wishers before practising their royal waves from a private balcony. Isabella and Josephine also presented the winners of the girls’ category with their trophies.

Mary horses around with champion Lotte Vinzent Holm, riding Heartbreaker.
