THE MONARCH HEADS OUT FOR A COUNTRY CHURCH SERVICE WITH A SPRING IN HER STEP

-

The Queen was blooming lovely in peach as she braved the cold to attend church in West Newton, close to the Sandringham estate.

Her Majesty was greeted by a crowd of about 200 wellwishers, and stopped to accept flowers from children and fans.

Maggie Anderson (67) and her four-year-old granddaughter offered the Queen (92) some orange and white roses. “She said, ‘Thank you so much, they match’, which was nice. It made our day,” said Maggie.

The Duke of Edinburgh, who is officially retired, did not attend the service, maintaining a lower profile since his car crash in January, where he collided

with an oncoming car.

?? ?? After the service, the Queen happily continued chatting to well-wishers and Sunday school children as she strolled around.Warm welcome! Despite England’s chilly winter air, Her Majesty was delighted to stop and receive flowers.
