Gore Main School will celebrate its 135th jubilee next Friday when the hard work of past and present students will be on display. The event has been planned for several months and sub-committee member Evan Fricker said the school would be open on the day for people to view lessons and displays, followed by a jubilee assembly. The children had put a lot of hard work into the day, he said. Old school memorabilia would also be displayed. The sub-committee had put extra effort into the dinner evening that would follow the day’s activities, Mr Fricker said. Bill English would attend the event at the Heartland Croydon Lodge and musician Katrina Bristow would perform on the night which includes a fundraising auction. Tickets, $50 each are still available from Gore Main School.
