Gore police are seek­ing the owner of a dark coloured Ford Fal­con, reg­is­tra­tion UY8435 in re­la­tion to an in­ci­dent where two ve­hi­cles were re­ported rac­ing be­tween Eden­dale and Mataura on Satur­day night. A 19-year-old Gore man who was driv­ing a second ve­hi­cle will ap­pear in the Gore District Court on April 12 on dan­ger­ous driv­ing charges.

MORE BURGLARIES

A 50-inch tele­vi­sion, ipads, wal­lets and clothes were taken from un­locked cars and houses in El­iz­a­beth and Joseph streets in Gore overnight on April 1. Sergeant Clint Wright urged res­i­dents to en­sure their prop­er­ties and ve­hi­cles were locked.

FUNDRAIS­ING SUC­CESS

Men­zies Col­lege raised $1600 for the Leukemia Foun­da­tion by hold­ing a disco and mufti day. Pupil Michael Mon­cur, his fa­ther Craig and staff mem­ber Jonny Brown also shaved their heads for the cause.
