Police re­ceived a re­port of a male search­ing around prop­er­ties with a torch in Liver­pool and Lin­coln Streets at Rivers­dale at 12.50am on Fri­day night. The per­son had a small white ve­hi­cle with a re­frig­er­a­tion unit or dog box on the back. Any­one with in­for­ma­tion can contact Gore police on 203 9300.


A 20-year-old male will ap­pear in the In­ver­cargill Dis­trict Court on Novem­ber 17 af­ter record­ing a breath al­co­hol level of 812mcg when he crashed a Toy­ota Hilux at the in­ter­sec­tion of Old Bal­four Road and the Rivers­dale Lums­den High­way at 10.20pm on Satur­day night. Sergeant Greg Bal­lan­tyne said the ute rolled sev­eral times be­fore land­ing in a pad­dock. The driver was not in­jured.
