Home and garden tour

The range of gardens and homes on show at the Northern Southland Spring House and Garden Tour will give people plenty of inspiration to try something new at home.

Organiser Margaret Christie said the tour includes diverse gardens and different home styles so there will be something for everyone.

‘‘We are thrilled people from the local community have generously offered their fabulous gardens in so many different styles including formal, cottage, new and established gardens.

‘‘Along with the gardens the homes will be open for viewing, showcasing new home builds, home renovations, a log home and a hallto-home make-over. ‘‘

The fundraiser is being held to contribute to running costs of the Mossburn Community Pool.

‘‘We are extremely proud of the wonderful pool facilities this area owns, built through local fundraising.’’ The pool is open each year from Labour weekend until just after Easter and solar heating was added recently to help reduce running costs. Students at the nearby school use it daily in season for swimming lessons.

Tickets for the Home and Garden tour on Sunday November 12 are $35, which includes a boxed lunch, available from Bracken Hall at Mossburn from 11am.
