1 Don’t try to be everything to everyone. If you try to please everybody, you’re not going to. 2 Keep your selection tight. Everything I buy, I love. You’ve got to have a vision of what it is you sell and who your customer is. If you don’t know that, then how can you buy for them? 3 You have to have something that’s new or unique because there needs to be a reason for people to walk in your door. Find a point of difference; what you sell, how you do things, your premise, whatever it is.
