Land of the long white beard
Everyone loves a Christmas movie, and now we have our very own festive film. Kiwi Christmas tells the story of Santa who, fed-up of the whole Christmas thing, runs away to NZ. When two Kiwi kids figure out who he is, they try to find a way to get him back to the North Pole in time for Christmas. In cinemas from November. While we’re at it, we’d like to recommend our go-to holiday films (not all Christmas-themed but great all the same). • Frances Ha – undateable. Adorable. • Elf – Self-explanatory. Contains elves and Will Ferrell. • The Holiday – if only all house swaps came with Jude Law. • When Harry Met Sally – “I’ll have what she’s having”. That line never gets old. • Home Alone – an oldie, but a very, very goodie • Die Hard 1 – Bruce Willis in a Santa hat, and Alan Rickman in a less cuddly Christmas role.
