Toilet paper isn’t usually something to get excited about, but we’re pretty amped about this new Kiwi eco product. New Zealand’s first plastic-free and tree-free loo roll, Smartass is made from 100% renewable and fastgrowing sugarcane and bamboo waste products. It’s also free of bleaches, inks, dyes, or perfumes. And that’s not all, folks… with 27,000 trees flushed away every day, Smartass plans to plant one tree for every carton sold. Partnering with the Million Metres Stream Project to help re-forest our riverbanks, they’ve already planted some 800 trees. If you want to help boost this fabulous company’s bottom line (sorry), head to smar $48 for 48 rolls (or get a subscription so you’ll never be caught short).
