Elder speaks to young adults

Elder Neil L Andersen of the Quorum of the Twelve Apos­tles will speak to about 300 young adults of the Church Of Je­sus Christ of Lat­ter-Day Saints from the north­ern Auck­land ar­eas on Tues­day.

He will be ac­com­pa­nied by Elder Costa, Elder Hamula and Elder Roberts at the Sun­set Road Chapel Mairangi Bay at 7pm.

Raphael Wells-Lake­land from the Hibis­cus Ward of the church in Red Beach is look­ing for­ward to at­tend­ing the meet­ing with her friends.

Young adults are un­mar­ried mem­bers of the church aged 18 to 30.

Elder Andersen was named an apos­tle of the church in 2009.

He was raised on an Idaho dairy farm and grad­u­ated from Brigham Young Uni­ver­sity, where he was a Hinckley Scholar, and earned a Mas­ter of Busi­ness Ad­min­is­tra­tion from Har­vard. His Florida busi­ness in­ter­ests in­cluded ad­ver­tis­ing.

Elder Andersen and wife Kathy have four chil­dren.
