Create a hanging garden

North Harbour News - - HOME NEWS -

Vertical gardens are the latest international landscaping trend and now with its Vertical Garden Bag, Yates has made it easy to have your very own hanging garden right outside the back door.

There are three bags in each pack and all the instructions are included for growing a successful vertical display. Simply fill each bag with good quality potting mix, water, and plant seedlings into the ready-cut holes. Finish by planting a few more in the top.

Choose varieties that naturally grow downwards (e.g. strawberries, violas, nasturtiums, prostrate thyme, lobelias or succulents).

As the plants grow they’ll gradually j oin together to completely cover the bag with a layer of foliage or flowers.

With three bags in each Yates Vertical Garden Bag pack, home gardeners will have plenty of opportunities to experiment.
