Addition to lunch order

- RENEE CLAYTON

Trying to sneak goodies into her lunch order didn’t quite work out for a ‘‘cheeky’’ six-year-old.

Ferrin Knight from the Hibiscus Coast, north Auckland, always knew her daughter was a ‘‘smart cookie’’ but never realised how smart she actually was until she discovered an altered lunch order in Zoe Knight’s lunch box.

Ferrin sent Zoe to her school in Torbay with a lunch order for macaroni cheese and a chocolate donut, but it returned quite different that afternoon.

‘‘I dropped her off to school a little early thinking she would put the order in the lunch order box, instead she decided to add in her own order with a bright purple felt tip pen,’’ Ferrin said.

Zoe added ’’jelly pop, vegy cheps (vege chips), 10 meny cocys (10 cookies), jelly cup pop, lecresh (liquorice) and a choclate brony (chocolate brownie)’’.

‘‘She is always doing funny things, she is well beyond her years.‘‘

Ferrin said when she found the note in Zoe’s bag she ‘‘laughed’’ and asked Zoe why she did it.

‘‘Zoe said her friend did it and that she had no part of it. It was so funny, so I posted it on Facebook.

‘‘I have sent her to school with a lunch order today, so let’s hope she doesn’t do it again,’’ Ferrin laughed.
