This Bowel Cancer Awareness Month, well-known Kiwis including artists Shane Hansen and Flox, are encouraging people to find one thing they can live without and auction it on TradeMe. New Zealand has one of the highest rates of bowel cancer in the world. More than 3,000 Kiwis are diagnosed yearly and approximately 1,200 lose their lives annually. The auction aims to raise awareness and fund more early symptom education to increase our survival rates. If caught early, 75 per cent of cases can be cured. Well-known artists and influencers are also supporting the campaign by offering their own items for the public to bid on. These personalities include; fashion influencer, Samuel Levi and wellness and lifestyle blogger, Elora Harre. To get involved, find one thing you can live without, create a #BeatBowelCancer auction, follow the standard TradeMe auction steps and add in some small changes.
